LABORATORY FOR COMMUNITARIAN COMMUNICATION STUDIES
The Community Communication Studies Laboratory (LECC) was created in 2000 and designates a research group focused on pedagogical experimentation and communication research articulated to the modes of community and solidarity that are not fully covered by what is now understood as society. Thinking of systematizing as a research area new fields of research and communication, LECC is an aggregator of students, researchers, members of community movements, pedagogical material, informative data and everything that can serve as a reference for the development of An academic study on the subject. Among its objectives is to encourage undergraduate and graduate students in research and development of community communication activities. Another concern of the LECC is to associate research work on community communication with direct involvement with social actors who take action in this direction. In this way, it is possible to build a bridge between two increasingly remote social poles: society and the academic community. Not a welfare intervention. But an in-depth research movement connected directly to social realities in a dynamic process of exchange. Against this background, the LECC proposes to: (1) Study essential texts on media, socio-cultural mediations, principles of sociability, community and community communication in the Western world and other civilizational formations; (2) To search for cultural and communicational diversity, understood as another possibility of social exchange and interaction, in search of forms of social autonomy (sustainable development) and new patterns of sociability (social capital); (3) To increase research in community communication at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and (4) To continue the practical training programs for community communicators. For further informations, click here or access the group"s website.
